About Us
Pike Expedition and Trekking [P] Ltd is a Nepalese Government licensed holder company in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is registered with Nepalese Government, Trekking Agents Association of Nepal and Nepal Mountaineering Association.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality of service, a safe journey and a memorable and enjoyable experience for all our clients. Our ventures include day walks, multi-day treks, high pass crossings, climbs of trekking peaks and the major Himalayan peaks, rafting, jungle safaris, mountain flights, bungee jumping, sight seeing tours, hotel booking and ticketing etc.
We design the extent and duration of our trips to suit our client’s needs. We are dedicated to making trips as successful as possible for our clients, so we pay a lot of attention to tailoring the trips to suit the fitness of the party, the walking distance and climb each day, acclimatization to altitude and to making sure that the party is properly equipped. We are also very strict about the safety of the party and hygiene in food preparation.
With an extensive network of contacts throughout the country, we can readily organize transport, accommodation, meals and guides, porters and kitchen staff. To fulfill our goal, we're regular hard working for a long time.
NGIMA SHERPA [ Operations ]
Ngima Sherpa is a principal Director and came from remote low land of Mount Everest region [in Okaldhunga District, Jantarkhani VDC #9] in1978. He is married with children in Kathmandu. He has completed Trekking Guide Training, First aid Training and Mountaineering Climbing Training. He started trekking and climbing at the age of 14 and has worked his way up from porter, to cook, to trekking guide and climbing guide.
He has many years experience of Everest Trekking, Langtang Trekking, Annapurna Trekking, Jomsom Trekking, Manaslu Trekking, Dhaulagiri Trekking and the Makalu Trekking region. As well, he is an expert mountaineering guide, e.g. Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Shishapangma, Mt Lhotse, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Amadablam etc. He is capable and reliable and clients always enjoy his companionship in the mountains
He is a member of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and has a great deal of experience in trekking throughout Nepal and in high altitude mountaineering
At this moment Ngima is staying Italy and will come to the Nepal twice a year. He can speak the English, Italian, Sherpa and Nepali languages.
TANKA BANIYA [ Administration]
Tanka Bahadur Baniya, a principal Director, came from the Mt Everest Region, [Okhaldhunga District, Kuntadevi VDC # 2]. He is married with 2 children. He has completed his Bachelor Degree from Nepal University. He was only 15 years old when he came to Kathmandu. After his Bachlor Degree he started in a job with Nepal Government. He had worked two years for Nepal Government as a village development secretary in Lukla ( Main gateway to the Mt. Everest region ).
Tanka has been working in this field since 1993 and manages our internal office management and administrative work. He makes hotel reservations, flight reservations, and supervises transportation management, staff management for trekking and mountaineering etc.
Mingmar Dorjee Sherpa [Trekking Leader]
Mingmar Dorjee Sherpa is 23 and was born in Jhyamku VDC # 2, Dolakha District, Nepla. He has been working as a Trekking Guide for 5 years. He is a kind, friendly and very popular guide and quickly forms happy relationships with the groups he is guiding. Mingma is our youngest guide and he has completed the Government Tourism training scheme and has worked with many Spanish and French groups in the last four years. He is a sensitive, clever and well qualified guide.
Ang Lakpa Sherpa [Climbing Guide / Trekking Guide]
Ang Lhakpa Sherpa was born in the Everest region. He is 27 years old. He has a young, helpful and good personality. He is an expert trekking guide and mountain, high altitude, climbing guide. He has completed training as a trekking guide and mountaineering guide. He has climbed Mt. Amadablam, Pumori, Imjatse (Island Peak), Mera Peak, Nayakang,and Kyazori. As well, he has been trekking in the Everest, Annapurna, Jomsom, Langtang, Dhaulagiri and Makalu regions with tours. He is always considerate kind and careing for every member of a trekking group or climbing party..
Ringin Bhote [Sherpa] Trekking Guide / Climbing Guide
Ringen Bhote comes from the mountain region in Shankhuwa Sawa district, Chepuwa village development committee # 2. He was born in 1968. He is married with children and staying in Kathamndu. Ringin has climbed Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Shishapangma, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Amadablam and many trekking peaks. Besides mountain climbing he guides for trekkers. He has been regularly climbing and guiding since 1985. He is an experienced, strong, honest and careful empolyee of this company.
Ang Pasang Sherpa [Cook / Guide]
Ang Pasang Sherpa comes from the mountain region, in Dolakha district, Gaurishankar village development committee # 6. He is married with childeren and has been living in Kathmandu for a long time. Passang was born in 1972. He is our experineced cook/ guide. He makes tasty food for trekkers and mountaineers. Besides mountaineering and trekking he cooks in restaurant's and for parties. He has been developing his carrier since 1990. He is strong, experienced and skilfull employee.
Pasang Sherpa [Senior Cook]
Pasang Sherpa comes from Solukhumbu district, Takshindu village development committee. He is an experienced continental cook for mountaineering and expeditions. He has been regularly working in this field since 1980.
