Trekking in Nepal : Pikey Hill and Dudh Kunda Trek


Dudha Kunda is a lake, situated at the front of Number Himal, locally known as Milky Pond of Solu. Dhdha Kunda Trekking is located in the low region of Everest Trekking or Solu region or Pike Trekking zone.

Dudha Kunda is a lake, situated at the front of Number Himal, locally known as Milky Pond of Solu. Dhdha Kunda Trekking is located in the low region of Everest Trekking or Solu region or Pike Trekking zone. This trekking has been designed to provide and insider’s look at the high mountains and remote Solu and Pike region.

The trail to Dudh Kunda trekking starts from Sivalaya - Bhandar - Junbesi - Dhudha Kunda or -Rumjatar where we collect Gurung culture. Rumjatar is famous to make woolen mat called 'Radi' - Okhaldhunga - Pike Hill. Pike hill is a famous trekking where trekkers will go to spectacular view of almost all important mountain view of Nepal. An alternative route from Phaplu from where trekkers can use aircraft and catch a route via Junbesi to Dudhakunda. 

In every August there is an influx of devotees of Hindus and Buddhist who come to perform cleansing ritual at the lake. At other time you are unlikely to meet anyone on this rarely traveled trail. Authentic Sherpa village authentic Sherpa villages and Sherpas culture, rhododendron and magnolia forest, Buddhist Monastery to a series of beautiful lakes of which Dudh Kunda (4190m) is the most revered.
We recommend you as bellow itineray for your trekkig.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel. O/N at Hotel.


Day 02: Drive Kathamndu to Bhandar (almost full day driving on unmetalled road. O/N at Hotel.


Day 03: Trek Bhandar to Goli 6-7 hours walk 2980m. O/N at lodge.


Day 04: Trek to Ngaur 4 hours walk (3350m) camp. O/N at lodge.


Day 05: Trek To Pike Peak base camp (3350M) About 6 hours trek, O/N at camp.


Day 06: Trekking to Junbesi (2670M): About 6 hours hours trek. O/N at camp.


Day 07: Trek To Saharsabeni (3340M): About hours trekking, O/N at Camp.


Day 08: Trek To Dudha Kunda (4190M): About 6 hours trekking, O/N at camp.


Day 09: Trek To Sarkari Pati (2860M): About 7 hours trekking, O/N at camp.


Day 10: Trek To Phaplu (2470m): - Approx 7 hours trekking, O/N at camp.


Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu from Phaplu, 35 minutes, O/N at Hotel.


Day 12: Free day in Kathamndu / Shopping. O/N at Hotel.


Day 13: Leave Kathmandu or create new alternative program.
